I cheaped out and purchased a set of Espia EPZ mounted on Subaru rims. These tires were very uneven in wear ( don't know why ) and between 35 to 50 per cent of original tread. We have had snow this winter and they have continued to do the job intended. In greasy slush, soft powder, and pack snow. They have no trouble, " still " cutting through 15 to 20 cm of fresh fallen snow. I can only image how well they would be at full tread depth.
